Fyllingen Lions to the Finals

In a semifinal showdown that lived up to the hype, Fyllingen Lions battled their way to a thrilling 78–74 victory over Centrum Tigers in Game 3—securing a spot in this year's grand final.

Just like the first two matchups, the third game was a nerve-wracking back-and-forth affair. With five minutes left on the clock, the scoreboard read 66–66, and the tension in Haukelandshallen was electric. Once again, it was anyone’s game.

Centrum briefly closed the gap to 72–71, keeping their hopes of forcing a fourth game alive. But then came the moment. League MVP Dashawn Davis stepped up and delivered when it mattered most—draining a clutch shot to extend the lead to 74–71. Moments later, Joel Kanyinda battled for a powerful offensive rebound and finished strong to make it 76–71 with just one minute remaining.

Centrum refused to back down, as Sivert Nordheim buried a cold-blooded three-pointer to cut the deficit to two. But Davis, sealed the deal with a dagger—putting Fyllingen up 78–74 with 20 seconds to go. Centrum kept fighting to the final buzzer, but the Lions stood tall, taking the series with winning margins of just 6, 2, and 4 points.

With this hard-fought series win, Fyllingen Lions advance to the final—and get the chance to defend last year’s incredible double: the league championship and the Norwegian Cup title.

Our opponent will be the winner of the other semifinal between Kongsberg Miners and Gimle. The Miners currently lead 2–1 in the series, with Game 4 set for Sunday at 17:30 in Kongsberghallen.

We’ll tip off the best-of-five final series on Saturday, April 12th at 16:00, right here in Haukelandshallen.

Let’s go, Lions!
