An electrifying atmosphere filled Fyllingsdalshallen tonight as Fyllingen Lions and Gimle had an intense game. The stands were packed with passionate supporters from both teams, creating an unforgettable spectacleβcomplemented by free hot dogs from the kiosk and an atmosphere buzzing with excitement.
The evening kicked off with a special medal ceremony, where Jan Hendrik Parmann, President of the Norwegian Basketball Federation, awarded gold medals to Fyllingen Lions for their triumph as league champions. As a heartfelt gesture to the youngest fans, chocolate medals were distributed as a token of appreciation for their unwavering support throughout the season. This victory was shared with them!
As expected, the game was a fierce and nerve-wracking battle between the leagueβs top contenders. Gimle started strong, maintaining the lead until the second quarter, but by halftime, Fyllingen Lions had turned the game around, leading 34-33. Both teams fought relentlessly through the third period, but in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Fyllingen secured a thrilling 75-73 victory.
Bouna Black Ndiyaye led the charge as the gameβs top scorer with 30 points, while Nikolas Skouen contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. Pol Olivier dominated the boards with 8 rebounds and also added 6 assists to his stat line.
